Not the best picture sadly but I managed to grab my camera and get a quick snap - this was swimming very happily on our wildlife pond at the weekend. It got disturbed by 2 ducks who spooked it so this is the best pic, but it's the first time we've had a cormorant visit in the 12 years we've been here so delighted. Crossing fingers and toes it comes back as was such a beautiful bird!

Cormorant in the Hafren Forest
Not the best picture sadly but I managed to grab my camera and get a quick snap - this was swimming very happily on our wildlife pond at the weekend. It got disturbed by 2 ducks who spooked it so this is the best pic, but it's the first time we've had a cormorant visit in the 12 years we've been here so delighted. Crossing fingers and toes it comes back as was such a beautiful bird!

we were up there a few days ago and the goshawk were active, alarm calling and flying overhead a couple of times. your frogs were chorusing too!
