Extensive patches of floodwater on an organically farmed field alongside the A483, a couple of miles or so N of Pool Quay, attracted more than 140 lapwings, 10 shelduck (grazing) and at least 8 shoveler, as well as 9 mute swans, and small flocks of starlings this morning. (Best viewed from field gate on Rhydesgn Lane - not very close but easily visible with bins). Unfortunately, no sign of any curlews, but will keep looking.
