Allt Goch, Llanidloes - a great place to visit!

At the top of this blog is a tab marked Places to Visit - a link to some of our best birding sites in the county. Occasionally we add new ones: Mike Haigh and I have just added a short piece about Allt Goch, on the hillside above Llanidloes. Enjoy a visit there soon!

  1. It is Simon. Several years ago there was an 'eruption' of brambling up to 500 feeding on the beech mast.
The lower wood often has quite a few dog walkers and coupled with the road noise can be a bit off putting. In recent years we've found the higher parts more peaceful and productive (just below the golf course).
