Solstice Blessings!

Beautiful morning at Dyfnant Meadows and there was a Wood Warbler singing very loudly in the riparian woodland for the whole time we were there (over 2 hours)! Tree Pipit was very vocal too.

We were checking dormouse nest boxes and were surprised to find an adult Great Tit sitting on a new nest in one of them! Be interested to hear whether anyone else has had any late nesting tits?

The reserve was also teeming with insect life, including masses of Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary butterfly, so a great time to visit!
