The osprey was showing well all day today, mostly on the electric pole on the reserve. Still no male though unfortunately, there's probably a week left before it's too late to breed this year.
Loads of sand martins passing through, many whitethroats giving close views, sedge and grasshopper warblers, and half a dozen Mealies on the feeders all day.
Just as I was packing up for the day this female Merlin landed on the osprey nest, stunning bird. Emyr
