(via Brian Pollard) The Wildlife Trust working party were still busy at Coed-y-dinas and have made a really grand job of clearing weeds. All birds seemed to be in one area, right of large island, however a male Mandarin duck was amongst the Mallard, and may have been the same bird Paul and I saw at Venus Pools - Shropshire, last week.

A Mink made an appearance to the left hand side of the hide, and this Water Rail ventured out for some time in the same area. The image is poor as the camera was hand held and the image taken through the glass.

A lone Common Snipe made a hurried course across the lake before ascending into the undergrowth on the left hand side.
