Burgess Croft

Topping up the feeders prior to getting ready for the RSPB garden watch and (a cup of tea) I spotted a Red Kite quartering the Burgess Croft estate before heading of in the Guilsfield direction.And so to the bird watch. The birds seen and posted on the RSPB website being:- 5 Reed Bunting, 2 Redpoll,1 Goldfinch,  24 Chaffinch, 4 Greenfinch, 7 Brambling, 4 Blackbird, 68 Starling, 12 House Sparrow, 3 Blue Tits, 2 Robin, 1 Dunnock and 1 Carrion Crow.

  1. Lovely day for it as well - light this afternoon was superb for us happy snappers! And as you can see from my list the birds were in good form - no greenfinch unfortunately and that's a worry
