Afternoon at Ceri (Kerry Ridgeway)

Kevin offered me an afternoon birding to see if we could find Crossbill, and I never thought that it would be one of my best birding trips ever.Fantastic weather, fantastic scenery and great company.Thank you Kevin!

Yes we did find the Crossbills, the first from the B4368, after having great views of Goshawk. The best sitings were made from the Forestry carpark, although they were still high up in the trees and the photos had to be heavily cropped. The males were a really rich red in colour.

Kevin will be putting our list on the Blog, nothing rare but continuous sitings of birds in quite large numbers.

  2. Thanks Ken and welcome to the Blog!

Congratulations on getting your 500th British bird, and that does not include all the different Redpolls etc.
