Crossbills again

Returned to photograph (under license and with landowners consent) the Crossbill's nest that myself, Jane Kelsall and Paddy Jenks found building a fortnight ago up between Talerddig and Llanerfyl. The female is now sitting on 4 eggs. Will be returning again in about 10 days when the young should be big enough to ring and hopefully get some better photos. The male, as can be seen in the middle photo, is a golden yellow colour rather than orange or bright red, as shown in the photos (taken by Amy) of two birds caught for ringing earlier today in Radnorshire.
