How to quieten Black-Headed Gulls.

Llyn Coed-y-Dinas is, I believe, the noisiest reserve owned by Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust, at least when the BHGs are setting up home for the breeding season. However the torrential rain and thunderstorm which hit at about 4pm today completely silenced them, as they all took up the same attitude, facing the weather with bills raised and necks hunched. After the storm passed, mass bathing was the pastime, accompanied, of course, by a resumption of the usual cacophony.
