Shelduck and Spoonbill at Coed-y-dinas

This evening saw the Shelduck with her two chicks, although this image shows them together they seem to be looking after themselves. The adult at times would be several hundred yards from the chicks.
Chris and myself had the opportunity of taking more photos of the Spoonbill, this time in flight most of the time, but we feel that it may be moving on soon and it would be wise to pay a visit to the reserve before it does so.It was preening itself in flight, and I am hoping that Chris may have a better shot!
Nice to meet you at last Phil, together with you wife and eldest daughter.
