spotted flycatchers nesting

Having watched a pair of spotted flycatchers feeding in the garden over the last 10 days, we were thrilled this morning to discover that they are also nesting here. We've been fascinated by the range of feeding methods they employ, often taking food from some height as they momentarily hover- but this morning, whilst idly watching a fly buzzing around a lawn daisy a few cms from the ground, Steve was surprised by the spotted fly which swooped down and deftly flew off with the insect, all in one very fast and fluid movement.
