Yellow-legged Gull @ Caersws

A 2nd summer bird was seen on the shingle banks of the river Severn this evening with a lone juv Lesser Black-backed Gull for company! Other birds of interest included 1 Green Sandpiper, 10-15 Common Sandpipers (6 of which were trapped and ringed), 2 Oystercatchers, 3+ Curlew, 2+ Little Ringed Plovers, 6+ Goosanders, 2 Kestrels, 1 Yellow Wagtail with a small flock of Pied Wagtails, a Kingfisher and good numbers of Swifts, House Martins and Sand Martins (31 of which were ringed!). A possible Little Owl was also heard calling in the distance?
