Decided to go for a walk with the dogs this afternoon near Llyn Hir to see if any Golden Plovers were back on the hills. Sadly I didn't see any, but to my amazement I did see an adult pale phase Arctic Skua appear from over a brow of ones the hills then continue southwards down the valley!!!
With all of the gales of late, I wonder how many more 'sea birds' have been blown inland.
Great spot - Chris T was saying in Trust Office this morn that a host of American birds had turned up - perhaps not surprising given the gales over the past few days!
ReplyDeleteOn the Plover front - was up at Glaslyn 3 weeks back doing some photo stuff for the cattle movement and there were a couple of birds in the pasture - far left of the lake as you look from the car park
