Welsh Ornithological Society Conference 2011

No doubt many of you will be aware of the Welsh Ornithological Society conference being held on Saturday November 12th at the Carno Community Centre in Powys (its nice to have this prestigious conference held on local soil so to speak!). Its been hailed as 'The gathering for birdwatchers in Wales'! There is a fine array of speakers attending as well as information stands from BTO Cymru, RSPB Cymru, Subbuteo Natural History Books, and paintings by Dee Doody. The conference fee is £21 for W.O.S. members or £26 for non-members and that includes coffee, lunch and tea for ticket holders booked in advance (there are vegetarian options for lunch).
Payment can be made to WOS c/o Ian M Spence, 43 Blackbrook, Sychdyn, Mold, Flintshire CH7 6LT no later than Tuesday 8th November 2011. Enclose a cheque made payable to 'Welsh Ornithological Society' and state if you are a member of the W.O.S or not. Print clearly your name and address (your first name will appear on your name badge). Include your e-mail address and specialist food requirements.
If anyone in the know about this conference thinks I've missed something out then please state so on this blog the above information was gleaned from correspondence I have received about the conference (via the BTO). I hope to see some of you there. Please spread the word!
