COED-Y-DINAS
First visit to Coed-y-Dinas for some time. 18 species seen, those of note being:- 3 Pochard (m). and a (f) Goldeneye Showing well right in front of the hide.The feeders were also busy with tits and chaffinches. whilst on the ground below the feeders a pair of voles were making the most of the droped nuts and sunflower seeds.Green Sandpipers still presentand, four Herons chased each other around the pool whilst a 5th watched on from it's perch in the oak on the large island. Just before leaving a flock of 46 Lapwings droped in followed shortly by approx 40 Teal which brought there number up to around 115.

The Goldeneye was a nice one Kevin.Havn't been down for a day or two and the species seem to arrive and depart in such a short time at Coed-y-dinas.
