Out and about.......

Yesterday, brother in law Robin and myself had a little trip around monts to see what bird life was about! We basically poottled between Machynlleth and Welshpool stopping off at a few places on the way. Out of 65+ species seen/heard, highlights were:

Undisclosed site:
Pair of Little Owls calling

Glaslyn:
Female Hen Harrier and 3+ Red Grouse

Llanidloes
40+ Bramblings feeding on beech mast with Chaffinch flock.

Hafren Forest
20+ Crossbills near main car park

Lymore Pools
Drake Gadwall

& LCyD
1 Greenshank, 3 Greensandpipers and a Snipe!

Not bad for monts, and I'm sure there's plenty more out there still to be found!?
