Red legged partridge on Wern fields

A covey of 20+ red legged partridge on the ploughed Wern fields this morning. Until recently there has been very little arable in the area, but a few fields 'under the plough' is already making a difference to the birds we see.
There have been several flocks of siskin in the garden, feeding on alder and larch seeds - very early for us.

  1. Thank you for information Sue.
Nice to have Siskin so early, we don't get them till March!
