POLEMERE

Although just outside our patch, Had a visit  to Polemere this afternoon. and was rewarded with one of the largest flocks of lapwing that i've seen for a long time, part of the flock landed on  the Mere,I lost count at just over 200 due to there movement and what landed was not half of the flock in flight. There total estimate would be closer to 500+ .It was incredable watching them wheeling about in the sky,Almosst like a flock of Starling's.Other species there :- Greylag, Canada Geese, Mallard, Teal, Wigeon, coot and one domestic goose from the nesrby farm.
