COED-Y-DINAS , Afternoon

A very dark afternoon, but nice to see Iolo, Chris and Kevin in the hide.

Huge numbers of Lapwing flying about in different flocks, must be nearly 800 in one of these.
Long-tailed Tits, Reed Bunting, Goldcrest, and a single Common Snipe observed at last minute under a tree on far right hand side of lake. Medium numbers of Wigeon, Teal, Cormorants and a single Heron. The Tufted Duck numbers are up.

  1. The lapwing flock I saw up the Ridgeway the other day have scarpered so I guess I now know where to!! Mind the Golden Plovers have gone as well and I suspect they're most unlikely to appear at LCyD!
