Pwll Penarth

Not the best birding day for me today, spent an hour waiting for the Dipper but they seemed a little busy down stream,  a pair of Grey Wagtails were collecting nesting material by the Weir, a poor record shot but some thing worth returning for.

Went for a walk around the reserve lots of Long-Tailed Tit about other birds seen were Bullfinch, Reed Bunting, Jay, Tree Creeper and a Nuthatch

Lots of Toads about which you can view at

  1. Lovely Phil. Your Grey Wagtail reminds me that I did not put a Pied Wag seen at Coed-y-dinas today on the blog.

  2. As we discussed - grey wags just make it even more imperative for me to get back down to the beach!

  3. Will be next weekend before i can get out again so keep me updated with the Grey Wagtails, need to try and find a place for the hide further down stream now where the dippers seem to go in the afternoon.
