WEDNESDAY AT LLYN COED-Y-DINAS

Pouring down with rain when I first visited the reserve, however just in front of the hide the lake was filled with birds, Grebes, Teal, Mallard, Snipe etc. Then the sun came out and they moved off, it was probably sheltered near the hide! The G C Grebe was taken at an iso of 1600 so you can see how dark it was.
The Oystercatchers were mating, as were a couple of Black-headed Gulls. The picture shows the Ostercatchers just after mating.
Very few small birds about, mainly Bluetits. A Buzzard circling fairly low over the lake before settling in the rear of the large Oak tree on the large island.
