Llyn Coed y dinas afternoon

Fairly quiet at Llyn Coed-y-dinas, but did manage to get my first Reed Warbler of the year, and even got a much cropped distant shot.
Pair of Reed Buntings deep in the reed bed plus the usual species

Pair of Pied Wagtail, but no Yellow for me yet.

This male Shelduck looked lovely in the sun.

I assume this egg in the Lesser Black Gulls bill is a Canada Goose egg. Once broken it was enjoyed by several species.

The Reed Warbler was tucked well into the reed bede, and singing its heart out.

  1. Cracking shelduck but that reed warbler is stunning - would it work/do you have option for a vertical crop

  2. The Yellow Wag male was present at around 9 am and getting close - until the Canada Geese had a major fallout and it fled!! Only seen one Reed Warbler so far - good job we didn't remove all the reeds!
    Lovely atmospheric shot.
