I had a female `Tree Sparrow` on my nut feeder in Manafon early this morning. This is not a regular occurance and I am wondering if other `bloggers` see Tree Sparrows on a regular basis within the county?.
Called in at LCyD at lunchtime I have never seen so much water for a long time. Sadly nesting birds have lost there homes with all of the natural small islands being totaly submerged. The lone Reed Warbler was seen as was a single Great Crested Grebe, a biting cold wind was blowing through the hide windows which was most unpleasant.
Trevor Rogers.

Trevor - only tree sparrow I can regularly see are up on the Shropshire end of the Kerry Ridgeway towards Bishop's Moat. When we first moved into Crew Green in '02 the only sparrow we had in the garden were the Trees but they disappeared in '04 and we didn't see them again
