Couple of updates

Back from holiday so went down the river to check on some of the nest sights the Blackbirds have gone, the Blackcap nest that had 4 eggs in now have 4 eggs and a chick that looks like it has only just hatched.

Sadly the Long-tailed tit nest has fallen to the weather  and a single egg was found under the tree so thought I would take this record shot next to a pound coin.

Lots of Blackbirds about but they don't want to pose for to long.

2 of the Dippers have fledged and the adults keep going back to the nest trying to encourage the last one to leave.

Finally found the Goldcrest nest but not getting any good shots of them still.

Robins making nests and very vocal couple of sights to keep an eye on with these

My favourite find of the day though was this Flycatcher having a bath nice to know they are on my door step.

  1. Didn't realise Pied were located anywhere near the river. Nice.
