Golden Plover over Garreg Hir |
Over the last year and a bit, I have had the good fortune to meet many of you whilst I've been painting my way around the county's numerous wildlife hotspots. As you have all been so supportive, even when I've taken over the hides with painting gear and especially because of the invaluable posts on this blog I would like to thank everyone and let you know that the hard work is about to come to fruition:
From the 14th of May to the 2nd of July I will be showing my latest paintings, drawings and prints at the Wildfowl and Wetlands trust Slimbridge Wildlife Art Gallery, in a joint exhibition with artist Federico Gemma (whose illustrations will be familiar to BBC Wildlife readers).
It's out of county I know (!), but if any of you venture down that way over the Spring please drop in and take a look. Also, short notice sorry, but If anyone would like to come to the preview a week this Sunday (13 May) please contact me with your email via www.chriswallbank.com and I will be happy to send you an invitation (including free access to the reserve).... would be great if some of you can make it!
