THE CLEDAN VALLEY

Our destination today was the beautiful and stunning Cledan Valley at Carno, and our host and guide is Beth Jones from the Cledan Valley Tipis holiday camp. Beth leads the Welsh Badgerman and i to the top of a hill, which turns out to be an absolute amazing raptor watch point, within minutes we are watching a stunning display from a Ring-tail Hen Harrier, other birds of prey include a pair of Kestrel, juvenile and adult Buzzard and Red Kite. On the rich superb gorse hill-side we encounter singing Reed Bunting and Stonechat, While fly-overs included Redpolls, Siskins and Skylarks. After a Three mile walk around the valley, we are now back at camp, there are calling Cuckoo (two), Redstart, Chiffchaff, Pied and Spotted Flycatcher and Garden and Willow Warbler, a superb day out, check out http://www.cledanvalleytipis.co.uk/ and thank you Beth Jones.
