Dyfi ospreys
The ospreys have had a mixed week on the Dyfi. All three chicks hatched on Monday evening, Tuesday morning and Thursday morning. By the time the afternoon rain had stopped yesterday however one the chicks had died - the first one and seemingly the strongest. As happens with so many Scottish ospreys, a bad bout of weather at the wrong time can be disastrous.

Real shame Emyr, hope all goes well after all the hard work. What happened to the dead chick, do the adults remove it from the nest or eat it!
