Marsh Harrier

Female marsh harrier flew by the Dyfi osprey nest this morning at 11.35. We think the adult female osprey has now started her migration - she was last seen Tuesday afternoon, August 7th. Her single male offspring is 73 days old and is doing fine. He's is still on the Dyfi with his father and will probably remain here until early September.

Just to let you know, the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust will be hosting our annual Moth Evening tomorrow night at Cors Dyfi and for the first time in a few years, the weather forecast looks perfect! We start at 20:30, finish after midnight, and you can stay as little or as long as you want. We're up to around 450 species so far for the reserve so looking forward to adding to this hopefully with conducive weather.

  1. Stunning birds to watch would be nice to see them breeding on the Dyfi
