Better news this morning. Our resident Robin is pecking profusly at the home made fat blocks. The Tree Sparrows have been again, they are such a dainty and flighty bird with there rich brown crowns. I aim to capture some images of them soon. Eric the balcony cock phesant remains steadfast, still avoiding the local guns. No damage to the feeding station after the high winds, thankyou `cable ties`.
A very happy NEW YEAR to one and all, and thank you for a great blog in 2012.

And you Trevor - looking forward to the Tree Sparrow shots, they're up the Ridgeway above us but as yet not seen one down here
ReplyDeleteEncouraging to know there are Treesparrows about Trevor, they seem to be getting so scarce now
ReplyDeleteHotbed up towards Bishop's Moat from Sarn Brian (go up past the school) - once the farmers get feed into the sheep troughs both they and the Yellowhammer should be in relatively easy reach
