Bits and bobs....

(via Chris Hurrell) A few recent sigtings.

Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming for a long while in Cae-Felin Wood, Guilsfield (SJ215118) yesterday mid day in all that lovely sunshine. Water Rail still here.

Six Goldeneye on a very cold and frosty Glaslyn (MWT Reserve) this morning. Absolutely nothing else on the reserve all day.

Water Rail showing well this morning from my kitchen window on the Guilsfield Brook at. Where has it been for the last 3 weeks?

Powys Castle, on Dairy Pool, 40+ canada geese, 6 coots, 3 female and 1 male tufted duck, few mallards. Great tits calling, GSW and nuthatch calling, rooks being very noisy. Pair of swans on Duck Pool.
