Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming for a long while in Cae-Felin Wood, Guilsfield (SJ215118) yesterday mid day in all that lovely sunshine. Water Rail still here.

Six Goldeneye on a very cold and frosty Glaslyn (MWT Reserve) this morning. Absolutely nothing else on the reserve all day.

Powys Castle, on Dairy Pool, 40+ canada geese, 6 coots, 3 female and 1 male tufted duck, few mallards. Great tits calling, GSW and nuthatch calling, rooks being very noisy. Pair of swans on Duck Pool.
