Turdus merula

Slim pickings today. Birds would not alight where I told them to, those I asked to come failed to turn up for the party, the light was not good, and my camera had a strop. But I was honoured with the presence of `Choughy`the blackbird, so he can be my star for a day!!!

  1. And what a star Trevor, the bird looks in lovely condition.

  2. Yes, he's a beauty! My turdus has been seeing off all the other turdi ferociously.

  3. Hey Trevor - if it was easy and the birds did everything you wanted it would be no fun!! Plenty of Blackbirds around at the moment - half a dozen in the back garden, though I am bribing them with apples they seem to have developed a craving for!

  4. Choughy is eating grated cheese mixed with homemade mince pies - lucky bird.
