Great Grey Shrike returns

Great Grey Shrike, Hafren Forest at usual place plus large flock of Fieldfare.

  3. Explorer 214 864894 where the Avon Biga nears the Clywedog resevoir on it's north west arm. There's an open area of cut off forestry and a short hard core access road leading into it from where it's usually seen perching and hunting.

Bear in mind though it does use more than just that one small patch of clearfell - indeed the bird has been seen pretty much up the whole length of Cwm Biga so you need to be a bit lucky (as I was a couple of years back - only took 4 days to get a picture!) - but if you're not there you'll never see it anyway will you??
