Spent about 15 very happy minutes watching 3 otters feeding/'playing' in the canal on the Wern this morning - do occasionally see a single otter, but have never been lucky enough to see more than one. Have some video footage (not good quality but definitely good enough as a record) which I've tried to download onto this post, but without success. If anyone more technologically minded can help, I'll have another go! (I've saved it in a folder in Documents and am trying to transfer it from there - maybe a different starting point?)
A male blackcap feeding in the garden too - not a bad morning!
Three Otters, sounds perfect to me! Just wonderful to watch them. I'm sure there are a few Otter-holics on this blog that you've made very jealous, myself included!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty incredible - I'm still on a high!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Sue - yep dead jealous! On the upload front - when u create/edit a post if you look at the top of the input pane you'll see a wee button that looks like a clapperboard (a couple to the right of Link). That should allow you to upload video - no idea about formats but assume all of the standard formats are accepted. Good luck
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark - I got that far this morning, and the message was that the video was being downloaded, but nothing actually happened! Tried it several times but with no success - think I'm just not cut out for technology!
DeleteMust have been great to watch! One way to upload videos is to create a youtube account. It's very simple once you're set up on there, then you can post the youtube video on the blog.
DeleteThanks Paul. Had a quick look but a bit complicated for me! Also my videos are not brilliant quality as my camera just a small point and shoot job.
DeleteWhat a lovely sighting, Sue. Been a few good Otter spottings lately; take a look at my mammal blog:

Always a pleasure to see these fabulous animals.
Tammy
Have just looked at your blog now Tammy - what fantastic photography - it makes me want a better camera, as a lot of my footage is of very mediocre/poor quality, and only a record for me really. I wonder whether they have super duper cameras.
DeleteWhere is the Wern?
ReplyDeleteIt's about 4 miles North of Welshpool, due West of the Breidden hills, between the A483 and the B4392 - hope that helps Dan. It's marked on the 1:25000 OS map.
DeleteThank You!!
