OSPREY

Thanks Mike for getting me logged back on the blog.

Leaving Coed y Dinas yesterday at just before 12 am. spotted osprey flying over field opposite the reserve. jumped out of the car and watched it until it disappeared by the Belan locks as it headed in the direction of Newtown.  Looking at my notes, my first sighting of a Osprey last year was march 27th. with the bird flying over Dolydd hafren  towards Berriew.

    1. Mark. browsing the web. the RSPB recorded three sightings in the south last week. 4/3 at Farlington Marsh's (Portsmouth). 6/3 Weir Wood, north of Brighton. 7/3 Fritham Plain west of Southampton. Two other sightings found . One at Keilder and another further north in Northumberland. they wer'nt sure wether it was the same bird. But think it was a scottish bird on route.... Kevin
