Lake Vyrnwy 25th March

The first sunny day for ages stimulated good raptor activity with Goshawk particularly visible right around the Lake. We saw at least 5 individual Goshawk despite only casually looking (a couple of pics from Gavin Chambers below). The next few weeks will be a good time to see Goshawk. To maximise your chances it's suggested you pick a sunny/calm day, a good viewpoint overlooking conifer forest, and then be patient...

Other raptors at Lake Vyrnwy last week were Buzzard, Red Kite, Peregrine, Kestrel and the first Merlin of the season.
