House Martin

Mentioned in the post below that my House Martins were behind those next door - next door's fledged last Monday and I missed it (harrumph) but the chicks in my artificial nest are on the way.  You'll have to take my word for it as the artificial nest is a load deeper than the normal mud affairs and I've only seen the chicks briefly once! Pics with camera on tripod at 400mm triggered with a radio remote as I lie melting in the heat

  1. Ours beat you by near 2 weeks.

  2. Ours in particular very late Kev - only took on the nest (thought we'd missed out again) 3 weeks or so after next door - course we are in the far north compared to you southerners!!!
