Painted Lady

A small divergence from the bird side of things but just had an invasion of Painted Lady into the garden - pics from an hour ago

  2. None at 1 pm, 40 minutes later in they came and long may they stay!

  3. It is predicted to be an incredible year for them. In May they were passing north through Israel and North Cyprus at an estimated rate of up to 3 million per hour. I was at the coast today, and as reported by Dick Squires on the Ceredigion blog, there were 30+ by late afternoon at the Glandyfi viewpoint, + Peacocks, and a Brimstone.
