Kingfisher LCyD

Unsurprisingly high water levels at LCyD leave nothing for waders but this gorgeous male Kingfisher  seemed to enjoy the expanded fishing opportunities and showed particularly well over an hour or so

Couple of shots of it ejecting a pellet - sadly the reeds wafted over in front of the shot with the actual pellet so it's not sharp .....  grr

Have been quiet for a few weeks as we've been away - this is the provincial bird of where we were! More to follow...
