Red Kite nested near the village for the second year - won't say exactly where - and appear to have had another successful breeding year. Very noisy these past few days and when past with the dog this morning 4 birds showing, so with no binoculars assume 2 chicks. Pics obviously not the best as keeping my distance but as you can see in the 1st pic one of the adult birds showing metal ring on right leg - not a chance of reading any details!
Update Friday 3 July - definitely 2 x youngsters, both sitting out in the open earlier this morning
