Following a MWT work party, Rob has now re-opened the 2nd hide (the Brayton Holt Hide): so the reserve is fully open again. The long-staying Great Egret was still there this afternoon, with a Little Egret for comparison. (Paul Irving also reports a Great Egret at Llandinam Gravels on 28 Sep). The logbook for recording sightings is back in the 2nd hide. At the moment the Dolydd Hafren track isn't too bad, but October is maize-harvest month, and there are maize fields down there.....
