Great White Egret

This GWE was present briefly at L. Cyd today, until ejected by a Grey Heron. Also of note a juvenile Great Crested Grebe is still being attended by a single parent. This is the third brood of the summer, all previous youngsters having been predated.

  1. Very nice Chris. Is the hide open ?

  2. Regrettably, the hide remains locked. Without a person permanently on site, the surfaces cannot be sanitised, and there are insurance issues, as well as the practical ones of virus transmission with multiple occupancy of the hide, distancing, etc.

  3. Thanks for the pic Chris! It looks a cert for the 2020 bird report!
