It is not feathery but furry. We have caught a pine marten on our garden camera trap.

That is very exciting Michele. Will you be putting up a box and food out for them?
ReplyDeleteYes, the first thing Richard has done is to build a feed box suitable for a marten, filled it with nuts and put it on a tree close to where it was photographed. Hope it keeps coming
ReplyDeleteGreat news Michele! Obviously a well located camera. Congrats from Clare and me
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic! I've only ever seen these in Scotland, its just wonderful to see them back in Wales.
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant-are you not revealing the area Of Montgom purposely?
ReplyDeleteHi Kev _ the location is not hidden it is in our garden at Llwynderw farm near Llanidoes
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic Michele - what a treat. Hope it keeps coming. Well done for capturing it on camera. Another encouraging indicator that pine martens might be doing well in mid-Wales.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Michele-just wondered how far they'd reached-brilliant! Wish I could last long enough to get one down here!!!
