ID Challenge

I'd be grateful if anyone could help identify this bird of prey at Dolydd Hafren. I think (and want!) it was a juvenile Goshawk. It has a yellow eye, prominent white eyebrow, buff chest, brown head/back and the chest stripes run down the body. When it flew over the river, it scared the Curlew into the air, not behaviour I see when Sparrowhawk or Buzzard fly over them.

    Thanks Edd. Paul Irving and I both agree it is a juvenile Goshawk. Supercilium and barrel-chested appearance are good clues; so is its effect on the Curlews! Will Ferguson reported a juvenile Gos at Dolydd Hafren on 19 Dec, also putting up the Curlews. Very likely the same bird.
