Spent the morning on the reserve, although a little quiet compared with previous visits. Highlight was 2 Great Egrets, often coming close to the second hide and feeding in the waters to the left. The first fly past was inside minimum focus distance, almost spilt my coffee when it whipped round the Scots pine! The Egrets flew down river around noon, possibly the same birds seen at Coed Y Dinas? Also 2 Sand Martins seen around 1pm.
