Llyn Coed-y-Dinas yesterday

With the hide still not open, I call occasionally to check for litter or signs of vandalism, and it would be rude not to have binoculars and camera. Yesterday there were 4 Reed Buntings plus the female Pochard, and also a female Goldeneye, which dived alongside the upending Shelduck for at least 5 minutes, presumably benefitting from the agitated water revealing invertebrates.

  1. Very nice Chris - our normal winter female Goldeneye! Obviously no way of knowing but I do wonder whether we're seeing the same bird each winter?
