Swallows and Fieldfares overlap on the Wern.

 Yesterday 2 swallows were the first we'd seen on the Wern this year. As Steve was out on an early morning run today, he disturbed between 30 and 40 fieldfares in the same area, which flew off in a northerly direction.

  5. 7 Brambling this morning. They should be visible from Red Bank in the Japanese Maple if anyone hasn’t seen one this year so far.

  6. We still have up to 18 lesser redpolls, but have only seen one brambling all winter.

  7. I haven't seen any Redwing since 18th March. I have seen a few Pied Flycatchers and Swallows and heard my first Redstart today.
