Our first and only brood of House Martins have fledged today. Hatched on the 31st August and left on the 23rd September. Normally we get 2 nests on the house, each rearing 2/3 broods. But this year the House Martin numbered seemed very low for Montgomery, but 1 late brood is better than none. I'm just glad the weather has stayed fine for September allowing this to happen. Super little birds!
