A very different scene at Dolydd Hafren following the first significant rain of the autumn. The river level is very high and with it a large increase in the numbers of wildfowl, including two Whooper Swans, several Wigeon, many more Canada and Greylag Geese and a couple of Mandarin Ducks. I wasn't able to stay until dusk this evening sadly, but the number of Starlings gathering has been increasing and was up to about 500 or so over the weekend, with hints that the murmurations may be starting again.
