Nightjars @ Hafren Forest

Finally some warm weather and calm winds too, so off I went to Hafren (AGAIN!) in the hope that the Nightjars would be a lot more active. I was not disappointed, around 20:20 the first couple of Nightjars started to make a few half hearted churs, but by 21:30-22:00 there must have been 4-5 males churring and a couple of females flying around too! To top it off - as if that wasn't enough, as I was staring to think about leaving (at around 23:30) a stunning male perched it's self on an old tree stump just meters away from me!! WHAT A NIGHT!!!

Almost forgot, other birds present included 5 Cuckoos, 5 Crossbills, 1 Tree Pipit and a couple of very vocal juvenile Goshawks!
